When you are looking for a place to stay you need a rating system you can trust. VisitBritain's ratings are your clear guide to what to expect, in an easy to understand form. Properties are visited annually by our trained, impartial assessors, so you can have confidence that your accommodation has been thoroughly checked and rated for quality before you make a booking.Using a simple one to five rating, it puts great emphasis on quality and is based on research which showed exactly what consumers are looking for when choosing accommodation.

HOW TO TO FIND US!

Follow the one way system through the village, following the signs for Portmellon. When you reach the junction with the “Ship Inn” on the corner, continue straight on and carry on up the hill (this road is two way believe it or not!)
You will find us on the right hand side of the road just as you reach the top of Polkirt Hill. We are a large cream coloured building next to a steep single track footpath.

Our Location

By Car

There is NO parking available at the house, however you can stop outside (just beyond the steps leading to the front door) momentarily to unload your luggage quite safely. We suggest that you do not try to drive up the single track footpath.

Car parks are available in the village or alternatively free parking is available nearby.

How to get to us without driving through Mevagissey

In high season, the narrow streets of the village are very difficult to drive through, and we recommend a detour of about 7 miles, avoiding having to drive through the village.

Take the B3273 from St.Austell, however just before the village, turn right at the crossroads signposted Lost Gardens of Heligan, Portmellon and Gorran, continue past the entrance for Heligan on your left and follow signs for Gorran.

Upon reaching this village, bear left signposted Portmellon.

As you enter Portmellon, continue around the harbour with the sea on your right, and continue up the steep hill, which takes you to the top of Polkirt Hill.
